If you've ever faced the problem of covering your patio doors with something, you'll no doubt have a good understanding of how difficult it can be. As tempting as it is to just use a normal curtain rod, you need to keep in mind that these doors need to be opened and closed. One way that you can alleviate this problem is to use cafe curtain rods.
These rods can be picked up quite cheaply, and are generally spring loaded. This means that they will fit inside the window frame of your patio door without having to screw anything in. All you need to do is run these rods through the bottom and the top of your curtain, and then just attach them to your door.
