Breast cancer is a major concern for women as it is classified as one of the major killer disease among women. Therefore, women are advised to participate proactively in implementing breast self examination, breast ultrasound and breast biopsy. Breast self examination (BSE) is an initial detective measure to detect any changes and abnormalities on the breast area. It includes lumps or tenderness. BSE is a simple screening procedure and can be done by women at home with a proper training. Breast ultrasound on the other hand will help in evaluating any impediment on blood flow on the breast area. However, it should not be used as confirmatory diagnostic assessment to entirely discard the existence of cancer. In fact, physician uses breast biopsy to confirm the stage of cancer. In short, early detection of breast cancer leads to prompt treatment and that’s mean higher survival rate especially in early stage.
