Do not give your baby dairy milk, honey or egg products until age one. These can be common allergens. Choking hazards need to be avoided of course; some of the worst offenders are nuts, hot dogs, and candy. Candy is also a bad idea as it could set up a preference for sweets. Do not give soda or juices containing high fructose corn syrup. Going organic may be a good choice at this point, and can be considered for the whole family. A healthy option for all including baby might be vegetarianism or veganism also. Reading up on studies about food additives, preservatives, dairy reactions, etc. can give you more knowledge on those areas.
