Futon Cover Sizes and Dimensions

There are a whole range of futon covers available online and in home stores locally.  What often happens if you search online is that you can’t really ‘try it out’ and see if it fits properly on your futon until you get it days later.  This is fine, but sometimes it is nice to go to a brick and mortar store, buy your futon cover, take it home and try it on for size.  Sometimes, you get a better sense of how it will look in your space not to mention how it fits.

Since futons really only come standard in twin, full, and queen size options unless you custom order a futon mattress in a larger size, the futon cover dimensions will match these as well.  However, you should note that the size of the cover is measured a bit differently.  When you see the online sites, you might notice that they say things like 4”, 7” or 9” sizes or a variation of these numbers.  These represent the thickness of your futon mattress.  This allows you to get a good fit for your cover so it doesn’t look like a little kid wearing a man’s shirt.  Proper fit will ensure longer life and better looks for your futon for years to come.
