A year ago my sister's meth addiction was apparent to everyone. She wasn't hiding it anymore the way she thought she was when she first started out. After months and months of begging and pleading with her to get treatment or check herself into a drug detox center we just weren't getting anywhere. We had gotten used to the lies and the stealing, and truthfully we were almost to the point of morning the death of our once beloved sister to a horrible drug addiction. The last intervention we did with her finally sunk in and something hit home. Thankfully mom had called ahead to her insurance company. We were initially confused about how to find drug detox centers but we were able to get a lot of solid advice and see my sister onto the road to recovery. One year later she is still sober, although it will take time for her to rebuild her life and the relationships that she lost to addiction.
