A lady shaver is one of those items of beauty equipment you might not have thought of owning. It is a convenient way of removing hair however, if you are in a hurry and have no time for waxing and depilatory creams. And once you pay the small cost for the machine you will have a very cheap method of getting rid of unwanted hair on your legs and underarms.
Lady shavers are made by a number of manufacturers and you will find models are available in many configurations and colors. One relatively recent innovation has been to combine lady shavers and epilators in a single piece of equipment. These shaver epilators are more expensive than either piece of equipment (a lot more than a lady shaver) but less than buying each piece separately.
Are they worth paying extra for?
It really depends on whether you are principally looking for an epilator or a lady shaver. Epilators work well but, as they pull hair out from the root, some women find them too painful to use. As epilators are the more expensive element they add considerably to the cost and if you will rarely use that part of your machine, they are just not worth it. If you are looking for an epilator anyway and will use the lady shaver element then it is probably worth making such a purchase.
So if you're wondering how to choose a lady shaver in any case, remember not to be swayed by features that you will not use and make sure that your machine has those features that you will make use of such as re-chargeable batteries and the ability to be used without a cord. If you would like to use your lady shaver in the shower or bath (as you do a manual razor) look for a wet and dry version too.
