Plucking, waxing, shaving are such a hassle - who has the time? And there are pesky associated problems with these methods such as raised bumps and ingrown hairs. Maybe permanent hair removal is the answer.
Electrolysis has been around for 135 years and, according to the American Electrology Association, this method is the only one that is truly permanent. It can be used on all skin and hair types, but it is a tedious procedure, requiring the technician to insert a tiny needle into each individual hair follicle to destroy it.
Laser hair removal and IPL are more recent methods. Although all methods take several sessions for best results, these new technologies are faster. But because they target dark areas, most only work well on lighter skin and dark hair.
