When the time comes to leave your camp site and head for home, you need to take everything back down again, and store it away for the next holiday. This includes your awning and all the things in it. The first thing to do is remove the groundsheet and give it a good shake to remove any large bits of dirt. Then clean it with a damp cloth and let it air dry. Next you need to release the support poles and all the doors, windows and side panels.
Let them fall to the ground and start to fold them up after you have cleaned then down. The more modern motorhome awnings can be folded into a very small space, and they go into the storage box or compartment. Inspect the fabric before putting it away in case there are any tears or rips that could leak the next time you use it.
