If you’re in an unfortunate situation that keeps you from paying your bills the last thing you need is for you car to be repossessed. Most car repossession companies may simply drive by your home and place of work with no intention of actually repossessing your car at that time. If they find a vehicle matching the description they will check the license plate and if it matches they’ll hook your car up and tow it away right then and there. A simple way to possibly stop repossession is to simply remove your license plate. If you’re car is parked in a secure area or on private property they’ll actually have to get out of the truck to check the VIN to verify the vehicle is actually the one they’re looking for. If your license plate is on your car they have a much easier time finding it.
