The Honeywell RTH7500D 7 Day Conventional Programmable Thermostat is the cheapest 7 day device offered by Honeywell . At only $65 from Amazon.com this thermostat offers great value especially when the specifications of the device are considered.
The Honeywell RTH7500D is nearly universally compatible. It can control air-con units, central air, furnaces, gas fireplaces, millivolt systems and heat pumps. It can manage up to 2 stages of both heating and cooling. The unit is easy to self-install and uses a menu style of programming that is simple to comprehend. Programs are input using 2 soft buttons on the front of the thermostat. The device also has a large display with a mercury free back light that clearly shows time, set point, filter status, battery status and whether the fan is cycling.
As with all Honeywell RTH thermostats the 7500D is well made – not only does it perform accurately it is also simple to understand. Honeywell make the most user friendly technology in the thermostat market.

The Honeywell RTH7500D also has adaptive intelligent recovery that makes sure the set point is always achieved in time for the beginning of a programmed period. The thermostat is continually making small adjustments to deliver climate control that can be relied upon.
There is also a temporary hold to let the user implement quick changes to indoor temperature. The device automatically switches between heating and cooling as required and has the added benefit of making automatic adjustments for daylight saving changes to the clock.
If Honeywell thermostat is what is preferred but price is an issue than the Honeywell RTH7500D is the device to look at.
