Personally, I think Uggs and slipper boots like them are the ugliest shoes you can wear. I think that is where the name came from. It is no coincidence that the Ugg sounds like ugly. First, they are hot. Yet you will see people wearing them in the middle of summer in Los Angeles with shorts. How ridiculous is this? I can understand wearing a fur lined warm boot in climates that warrant it like Alaska or even the northeast, but it is just silly for people to be wearing this shoe in warm weather. In addition to the inappropriateness of wearing them in summer, they are clunky and boxy looking. Since when is it fashionable to wear something shapeless and plain? Normally, celebrities and fashion icons wear tight and form fitting boots and shoes that have some flare. What are people thinking?
